I am Andrea Buckle, a Human Givens Practitioner providing tailored effective brief therapy. I help you to overcome the overwhelm and create the change in your life that you seek, focusing on getting you to achieve emotional balance.
About me

I am a Human Givens Practitioner working across Pembrokeshire.  I am passionate about helping people to become their best self by providing accessible effective brief therapy that allows them to live a life they love.

My background

After many years of leading, managing and coaching large diverse teams in the commercial sector, I returned to Pembrokeshire in 2016 and trained in a counselling modality that is non-intrusive and provides effective fast results. I enjoy working with a diverse client base of all ages.

What I offer

As a Human Givens therapist, I offer reliable and practical help for anyone suffering from all major forms of distress. I provide a tailored approach for each individual client, using a variety of up-to-date proven psychological methods and techniques. These include cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, reflective listening and guided visualisation. My approach is focused on problem-solving and helping clients to develop new life skills.

Ethics

The Human Givens approach draws on the latest findings from psychology and neurobiology about how people function and what we need to lead fulfilling lives and maintain emotional wellbeing. As a member of the Human Givens Institute (HGI) accredited in the UK by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), I abide by their professional conduct and ethics processes.

Outside therapy

When I am not providing psychotherapy, I fill my time with travel adventures and time on the coast. I am a country girl at heart and love animals and nature. I enjoy being creative and dabble with graphic design.

I am also a farmer and help to run a farm with a commercial sheep flock and a large herd of alpacas. You can visit the farm to meet or walk the alpacas and I also use them within therapy sessions on the farm. I’m hoping to offer rural retreats and further walking therapy in the future so watch this space.

Finding time to squeeze all this in while bringing up my three fabulous kids and remembering to walk the dog can sometimes be tricky, but I love the life I choose to live.

A no-obligation chat is always available, to see if you think my approach could be right for you
