Achieve emotional balance

As a Human Givens psychotherapist, I provide solution-focused therapy designed to help you overcome mental and emotional distress including depression, anxiety, anger, addiction and trauma.

The Human Givens approach is centred on a set of organising ideas, which provide a holistic, scientific framework for understanding the way that individuals and society work. When I talk about ‘human givens’, I am talking about the innate needs a human requires for physical and mental well-being. If any of these needs are not being met it can throw your emotions off balance and this is where I can help you regain stability.

During a Human Givens therapy session, I focus on reviewing your emotional needs and together we create goals to achieve balance in those areas that require attention. We identify your strengths and resources for you to utilise to get these needs met. As well as using specific therapy techniques appropriate for your needs, I use guided visualisation and psychoeducation to empower you to take the steps needed to create the change you are seeking in your life. With my guidance and insight, you will have the tools, techniques and mindset to begin to address your needs.
